Fort Meade Middle Senior High School rewarded its teachers and staff for their hard work in raising the school grade with a surprise lunch at Streamsong Resort on Aug. 10.
“We are so excited about our school grade of a B,” said Principal Amy Hardee. “We wanted to celebrate in a big way, in hopes that the momentum will keep us moving forward.”
Teachers and staff were not told about the celebration until they were en route to Streamsong, an upscale golf resort and spa located in Bowling Green. Once there, employees, including teachers, custodians, cafeteria workers and bus drivers, received lunch and free T-shirts.
The lunch was sponsored by Mosaic. T-shirts were sponsored by Greenwood Chevrolet.
Fort Meade Middle Senior’s school grade had been a C since 2012.
