And the next Focused on Excellence winner is … Christy Carrillo from Fort Meade Middle-Senior High!
It’s now the fourth year of our Focused on Excellence campaign, which recognizes the hard work and contributions of PCPS employees.
Once again, employees were asked to nominate their colleagues from various departments for a chance to receive some great prizes and be recognized on our communication channels. This is the second group of winners for 2023-24.
Christy is the school nutrition manager at Fort Meade Middle-Senior. She was instrumental in starting a small food pantry at the school, and was able to grow the program by seeking community partnerships and donations. The food pantry now serves almost 100 Fort Meade families every week.
“What I love most about my job is the kids,” Christy said. “I love knowing that I get to play a small part in their success each day.”
