Community Involvement Conference Program (PDF)
The Community Involvement Conference is a series of workshops geared toward school volunteering, parental involvement and community partners. It will take place September 30th, 2016 from
7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at:
First Assembly Church of God, 915 S. Broadway Ave., Bartow, FL 33830.
This event is open to the public. A $6.00 registration fee per person includes lunch. After September 20, registration fee will increase to $9.00 per person.

Volunteers are an important part of our school family. To maintain campus security, first time volunteer applicants pay $25 for a Florida Department of Law Enforcement background check.
Little Free Libraries are little decorative waterproof boxes/containers with books inside. These LFL have been placed in communities to promote literacy and the love of reading. The only rule is to bring a book and take a book. Help spread the love of reading throughout Polk County by building or sponsoring a Little Free Library in your community.
ReadingPals is an early literacy initiative sponsored by Carol and Barney Barnett. It focuses on engaging, training and deploying volunteer tutors to increase the number of students reading at grade level by the end of 3rd grade.
The Library Media Services Department of the Polk Public Schools is recruiting males to be reading volunteers for students.
