All practice rounds are scheduled on Tuesdays at 3:30 PM and require approximately one hour to complete.
Schools are not permitted to exchange competition dates or to miss schedule competitions. Coaching supplements will be reduced by one-sixth for each competition missed. Score sheets with student data must be returned to Lisa Rawls, Academic Competitions, within one week of the competition to verify participation.
The Polk County High School Academic Tournament is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, February 17 & February 18, 2010 at Lake Region High School after school hours. Coaches will meet prior to February 17 to discuss All-Star Team selection. The Polk County All-Star Team will be announced at the conclusion of the final round on February 18.
The 2010 Commissioner's Academic Challenge is scheduled for April 15-17, 2010 at the Contemporary Resort Convention Center in Disney World.
The National Tournament of Academic Excellence, formerly known as the Panasonic Academic Challenge, tentatively scheduled for June 19-22, 2010 will also be held at the Contemporary Resort.
