#5: De-Interlacing Still Images
Sometimes when you create a still image in FCP, it will have little jagged lines everywhere making it difficult to see what the image actually is.

To fix this, use FCP's built-in De-Interlace filter:
- Double-click the still image on the timeline to load it into the Viewer Window
- Go to Effects > Video Filters > Video > De-Interlace.
Bonus Tip: You can export still images from FCP to use in other programs like PowerPoint, LiveType, send in emails, etc.
- Create the still and don't forget to De-Interlace it.
- Double-click the still image on the timeline to load it into the Viewer Window.
- Go to File > Export > Using QuickTime Conversion.
- Under Format, select Still Image.
- Under Use, select JPEG 29.97.
- Give it a name and click Save.
