Alternative Certification Educators I and II

ACE I and ACE II

In accordance with Florida statutes, the ACE programs are designed to provide mid-career professionals, paraprofessionals or recent non-education college graduates the opportunity to fulfill instructional requirements to qualify as an educator. After completing either the ACEI or ACEII program, the participant may seek a professional teaching certificate.

Requirements to enroll in either program are:

ACE I (Online) Program

ACEI is provided online through the FLDOE Ed-Ventures program. Participants work at their own pace with the temporary teaching certificate providing the timeline for completion. Please review the most current application for additional information.

Groups and Online Tutors

Ed-Ventures

ACE II (Face to Face) Program

ACE II is provided face-to-face with instructors using the curriculum provided through the FLDOE Ed-Ventures program. Participants meet on scheduled Tuesday evenings with their instructors and a cohort of their peers throughout the school year. Participants will implement strategies in their classroom with students and follow up with documentation, analysis, synthesis, reflection and evaluation. The temporary teaching certificate provides the timeline for completion. Please review the most current application for additional information.

ACE II is also provided during the summer for two weeks and then follow up during the school year in the classroom with students. Announcements for this program are made in December or January prior to the summer dates.
