The teachers listed below were selected as 2017 Developer Grant Recipients. Developers had to submit a detailed grant application providing a description of a program which they had previously developed and used in their classroom or school. Programs deemed innovative, successful and replicable by a panel of judges were chosen as Developers. Classroom Developer Grant recipients received $600 - $400 to purchase classroom supplies/materials and $200 as a stipend for additional work. School to School Developer grant recipients received $1,000 - $800 for supplies/materials and $200 as a stipend for additional work.

Each teacher/school has their program published online in the Idea Catalog of Excellence. Developers design a booth to present and market their innovative program at the Idea Expo. Teachers from Polk and Hardee Counties are invited to visit and network at the Idea Expo picking up quality ideas that can be implemented in their own classroom or school. Visiting teachers are invited to apply for funding to adapt an idea designed to enhance or strenghten instructional practices.
