Mammogram Screenings are covered as part of the Board sponsored health plan. The convenience of onsite screening saves time for our employees and is less disruptive to the classroom because the teacher is not required to leave campus. Service is provided by Lakeland Regional Cancer Center.
Skin Cancer Screenings now follows the guidelines as listed by the American Cancer Society with preliminary screening to be started at age 21, and every 3 years thereafter and performed annually after age 35 and our employees realize a cost savings and enjoy the convenience of on site screenings. The Patient/Partner Project is an online tool that offers free resources for cancer patients and partners. Services include a free monthly newsletter, a free mini-course featuring "The Six L's of Caring and Coping," a free online private progress reporting system and a partner/caregiver forum. "Laugh, cry and learn ot cope with your challenges."
