Our district is embarking in on a wonderful opportunity for our students. The Summer Learning program will serve a variety of students through A.M.P. (Accelerating Maximum Potential) and Power-Up Academies. There will be an informational meeting held April 7, 2014, at the Jim Miles Center from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Applications will be accepted through April 14, 2014.

We are now accepting applications for our 2014-15 Prekindergarten classes. We have no registration fees or supply fees. You only pay for the days schools are open(180 days annually).
Polk County Schools Prekindergarten programs have been very successful in providing a high quality early childhood education program for 3 and 4 year olds. We offer full school day(fee required) and Free 3 hour sessions for 4 year old VPK students.

The Alternative Certification Educator [ACE] Program in Polk County Schools is designed for new teachers who have non-education degrees and wish to become professionally certified. It offers an attractive low-cost alternative to the expense of education courses!
Now open to employees, retirees, spouses and children on the district health plan.
