Data Year 2011-2012

Data Day will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011

Beginning in Spring 2011, a change that affected our instructional decisions was the move to FCAT 2.0, which tests our students on the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS). FLDOE has also implemented computer based testing. In 2011-12, those affected by computer based testing are: Retakers Reading and Math (Grades 11, 12, and adults who graduated with a Certificate of Completion), Grades 6 and 10 Reading, and all End of Course testing. The District will continue to use Discovery as its progress monitoring tool.

To assist you in analyzing our Discovery baseline data in a meaningful way on Data Day, we are including a guide to help you understand the data reports available.

School Improvement Planning and Reporting

The Assessment, Accountability, and Evaluation office acts as district liaison for Florida's System of School Improvement and Accountability, coordinates the School Improvement Plan process, and coordinates school and district reporting, including status of schools on state standards and critically low school criteria.

School Advisory Council

The AAE office also provides resources to schools who are creating or already have School Advisory Councils. SAC's assist in decision making and approval of expenditures of District Lottery Funds and School Recognition Funds, as well as review the School Budget, help determine the School Improvement Plan, help others understand the School Improvement Plan, support the School Improvement Plan Implementation, evaluate the School Improvement Plan, and help make the school the best it can be.
