The function of Parent Services is to provide training opportunities, information about support groups and community resources. FDLRS Sunrise in collaboration with Exceptional Student Services also provides an area in the center where the parents may use Boardmaker software to create materials for their child. Parent services will send and post information on local resources, state and regional trainings as well as other FDLRS events.
Florida Diagnostic Learning Resources System (FDLRS), in collaboration with Exceptional Student Education (ESE), and Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (CARD) will be offering new workshops which will be available in the Fall of 2010.
