More ways to keep up with the latest news from Polk County Public Schools:
August 15, 2017
Families of ESE students in Polk County are invited to attend a Meet & Greet session with the Learning Support staff of Polk County Public Schools on one of two evenings in August. Held in partnership with the Polk ESE Advisory Council, both evenings will contain the same information for students in Prek – high school ESE programs in PCPS. These free sessions will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29th at Horizons Elementary School and on Thursday, August 31st at Lakeland High School.
Families can familiarize themselves with the resources available for ESE students through the Learning Support division, as well as have an opportunity to ask questions and interact with staff members. “Polk County Public Schools’ Learning Support division really wants families to understand that we are here to support their children and serve as a resource for them. That starts with getting to know who we are, and how we function as a division within the school district and in our schools,” said Dr. Kimberly Steinke, Assistant Superintendent of Learning Support.
