The Polk County School Board will hold its School Board Meeting, Work Session and Superintendent Search Meeting on Tuesday, March 15, 2016.
Each will take place at Ridge Community High, 500 Orchid Drive in Davenport.

The Superintendent Search Meeting will begin at 10 a.m. The purpose of this meeting is to establish a calendar of events for community meetings, surveys and discuss other matters related to the superintendent search.
The Work Session will begin at 12:30 p.m., and the School Board Meeting will begin at 5 p.m. The purpose of each is to conduct School Board business.
The School Board Meeting will include a public hearing to adopt a zoning plan for a new school, Citrus Ridge: A Civics Academy. The public hearing will begin no earlier than 5:01 p.m.
The creation of a new school zone will result in changes to other school zones in the area to balance enrollment. Schools in the area include: Alta Vista Elementary, Eastside Elementary, Horizons Elementary, Lake Alfred-Addair Middle, Loughman Oaks Elementary and Shelley S. Boone Middle.
