The Florida Art Education Association (FAEA) has awarded Patricia Lamb the Lifetime Achievement Award. Ms. Lamb currently serves as the District’s Senior Coordinator of Fine Arts. The FAEA Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals in art education whose career contributions have benefited the field and achieved the highest level of professionalism in art education over a lifetime.
Ms. Lamb has been an art educator in Polk County for more than 25 years. She’s been instrumental in organizing and preparing rigorous and relevant curriculum, ongoing professional education and providing support for all teachers and support staff in the District. She is responsible for developing and implementing the FAEA K-12 Performance Assessment in which more than 2,000 students participated last year.
She’s been actively involved with FAEA since 2003, when she served as a board member. In 2008-2009, she became the association’s president. She is a regular workshop presenter at the FAEA Conference, the National Art Education Association Conference and the AP Annual Conference.
