Cate Rosenoff of George Jenkins High’s FFA team and Emma Johnson of McLaughlin Middle School won individual championships in the Polk County FFA Creed Speaking Contest held Tuesday, October 30 at Bartow High. Creed speaking is a public speaking competition where passages are recited from memory. Participants are judged on accuracy, voice quality, stage presence, expression and impromptu responses to questions about their recitation.
In the senior division, Jessica Clark (Bartow High) placed 2nd and Angelina Cloutier (Kathleen High) placed 3rd.
The Florida FFA Association is a premier youth, leadership organization with over 15,000 middle and high school student members – as part of over 300 local FFA chapters across the state.
