Fifteen Students To Be Honored For FCAT Perfection

Fifteen students achieving perfection on the 2007-2008 FCAT tests will be among those honored at a school district special event on November 13.

Thirteen students achieved perfect scores of 500 on both the reading and mathematics portions of the 2008. Two other students were to be honored for achieving perfect scores of 6 in the writing portion of the test three consecutive times.

Thirteen students achieving perfect scores on both reading and mathematics on the 2008 FCAT are listed according to school where they took the tests with place of residence in parentheses.

Bartow Elementary Academy: Nicky Gibbs (Bartow)
Bartow International Baccalaureate: Caroline Bresnan (Lakeland), John Dupree (Lakeland), Alyssa Ren (Lakeland).
Berkley Elementary: Jake Jordan (Auburndale), Andrew Starling (Auburndale)
Dr. N.E. Roberts Elementary: Steven Rexach (Lakeland)
Floral Avenue Elementary: Nandan Patel (Bartow)
Lakeland Highlands Middle: Jackson Hampson (Lakeland), Anupa Kotipoyina (Lakeland)
Lawton Chiles Middle: Nicole Radivilov (Lakeland)
Philip O’Brien Elementary: Ethan Breisinger (Lakeland)
Southwest Middle: Elora Friar (Lakeland)

Two students achieving perfect scores of 6 in the writing portion of the test in 2008 also had perfect scores in writing each time they took the test.

Lakeland residents Paige Ferguson and Julie Mahoney, currently attending Bartow International Baccalaureate, had perfect writing scores in grades 4, 8 and 10.
