Polk school board members will participate in a meeting of the Central Florida Public School Boards Coalition at 9:30 a.m., Monday, October 12. The meeting will be held at the Orange County Public Schools Administrative Office, 445 West Amelia St., Orlando. Information: (407) 317-3200
The following is the October school board work session, meeting, public hearing schedule. Work sessions and meetings are held in the district administrative office, 1915 South Floral Avenue, Bartow. Work sessions are held in the superintendent’s conference room of the district office and meetings are held in the auditorium. Tuesday, October 13-- 8:30 a.m. work session, 1:30 p.m. meeting
Tuesday, October 27—12:30 p.m. work session, 5 p.m. meeting
In addition, a public hearing to consider revisions to the 2009-2010 Student Progression Plan will be held during the October 27 meeting. The school board will meet in a workshop on Monday, November 2 to set goals and update the district’s strategic plan. The workshop will held 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m, November 2 at the Jim Miles Professional Development Center, 5204 U.S. Highway 98 South, Lakeland. Information: Frank O’Reilly, (863) 534-0529.
There is only one work session and one board meeting scheduled for November. The work session will be held 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 17 in the superintendent’s conference room of the district administrative office, 1915 South Floral Avenue Bartow.
