The school board will meet in a work session at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 7 in the superintendent’s conference room of the district administrative office, 1915 South Floral Avenue, Bartow.
An attorney-client session for approximately 30 minutes has been scheduled during this work session. The attorney-client session will involve the school board, the superintendent and school district legal counsel.
A school board meeting will be held 5 p.m., Tuesday, September 7 in the auditorium of the district administrative office.
A public hearing will be held during the September 7 school board meeting to discuss the final 2010-2011 budget and millage rates. The public hearing will be held no earlier than 5:01 p.m. A vote to adopt the 2010-2011 budget will be held following this public hearing. The public is invited to a Tuesday, September 7 sales tax oversight committee meeting to be held at the school district administrative office, 1915 South Floral Avenue, Bartow. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the facilities department conference room. The sales tax oversight committee, composed of community members, was formed by the school district after voters approved a 2003 referendum authorizing an additional ½-cent sales tax for school construction.
