Lakeland’s Lincoln Avenue Academy and Davenport School of the Arts won their respective divisions at the Polk County Schools 6th Annual Book Bowl Finals completed at the end of the 2007-2008 school year.
The Book Bowl Finals feature student teams from elementary and middle schools answering questions about assigned books on the Sunshine State Readers List. Schools throughout the county competed during the 2007-2008 school year for the right to compete in the finals.
Lime Street Elementary (Lakeland) was runner-up in the elementary division followed by Pinewood Elementary (Eagle Lake), Wendell Watson Elementary (Lakeland) and Bethune Academy (Haines City) who finished third, fourth and fifth respectively.
Lakeland Highlands Middle was runner-up in the middle school division followed by Fort Meade Middle and Lawton Chiles Middle who finished third and fourth respectively.
