The public is invited to a Thursday, June 19 summit on the subject of school concurrency.
The summit will include officials from county and municipal governments and the Polk County school district. The seven elected members of the Polk County school board are scheduled to attend this summit. Concurrency provides coordinated planning among county and municipal governments and the school district to ensure school capacity is available at the time of residential development. The summit will include a current update on school concurrency and future plans for school concurrency.
The summit will be held Thursday, June 19, 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the Ramon Theater, 15 East Wall Street, Frostproof.
