Polk County Public Schools
Graduating seniors from Polk high schools were selected by their school administrations to participate in a series of roundtables with the superintendent’s office and the director of secondary education.
The student leaders met with Superintendent Gail McKinzie, Ph.D. and Director of Secondary Education David Lewis at various times during the 2009-2010 school year and discussed their educational experiences while enrolled in public schools. The 2010 graduates offered their insight, advice, input and suggestions to the officials during these discussions. Associate Superintendent Bruce Tonjes, Ed.D. also attended one of the roundtables. 2009-2010 was the third year of the interactive roundtables.
