Gause Academy Students Participate in the 2012 Florida FBLA State Leadership Conference

Gause AcademyGause Academy’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) team members participated in the 2012 Florida FBLA State Leadership Conference held in Orlando, April 28 thru May 1. More than 3,400 students from across the state gathered at the Rosen Centre to compete against their peers, attend workshops, watch student presentations and listen to keynote speaker, Ty Bennett.

Jonathan Borges, Andrew Faucher, Rachel Nipper and Krystal Sapp brought home 5th place in the Roger H. Stubing Local Chapter Annual Business Report division. Kari Sawyer, a senior, took 5th place in the Electronic Career Portfolio division.

Gause Academy advisor Ms. Melissa Konkol and Gause Academy team members were also presented with the Pansy B. Read Gold Seal Chapter Award of Merit. This award recognizes outstanding Florida chapters that have actively participated in projects and programs identified with the goals of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL).

At the District Leadership Conference held at the Jim Miles Conference Center in Highland City, Kari Sawyer placed 1st in the Electronic Career Portfolio division. Jonathan Borges, Andrew Faucher, Rachel Nipper and Krystal Sapp placed 1st in Local Chapter Report division.
