Polk School Board Members Set to Shortlist Architectural Firms for New Projects

Please be advised more than one Polk County School Board member may attend a meeting in order to shortlist architectural firms set to work on construction projects at Eastside Elementary, Chain of Lakes Elementary and Sikes Elementary. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the facilities meeting room at the Polk County Schools District Office. The hour-long meeting starts at 2 p.m.

Below is the list of intended projects:

• Eastside Elementary- 16-classroom addition, new cafeteria, remodel existing cafeteria & increase staff parking
• Chain of Lakes Elementary- 22-classroom addition and new drive (car rider pickup)
• Sikes Elementary- 23-classroom addition
