Our Transportation staff is one of the best in the State of Florida. We safely transport over 44,000 students in excess of 42,000 miles each school day. That equals 1.44 times the circumference of the Earth driven EVERY day in order to bring our children to their place of learning and home again.
Polk District Schools consistently provides quality services to the students of Polk County, while maintaining one of the lowest per pupil expenditures for student transportation in the State of Florida. Last year, Polk District Schools had one of the lowest per pupil transported expenditure in Florida, thereby maximizing the revenue spent in our District's classrooms.
