B.E.S.T. Centers
The mission at each B.E.S.T. Center is to provide a specialized services setting which incorporates a systematic behavior plan. B.E.S.T. provides educational services, and a nurturing environment which will assist students, families and schools.

Hearth Project
- Work with Title I to provide tutors to local shelters housing children.
- Contracted services with Salvation Army providing tutorial services for children residing in the traditional living facility and children from three local elementary schools.
- Provide educational materials training and/or supplies to the Salvation Army 's child care program, HALO Child Enrichment Center at the Salvation Army
- Provide educational materials and supplies to Cornerstone Youth Shelter
- Work together with organizations and individuals to meet the needs of homeless children. Through donations provide needed school supplies, hygiene items and personal items.
- Educate and inform the community about homelessness through presentations.
- Encourage homeless advocates in local schools to aid in the assistance of homeless children throughout Polk Country.
- Host homeless shelter meetings to discuss and solve issues of concern for the local shelters housing children.
- Present Heartstrings Workshop to elementary students to help kids understand homelessness.
- Present Homeless Sensitivity Training to school and district personnel.

Code of Conduct
Code of Student Conduct - Specialized Services personnel are responsible for the revision, printing, and distribution of this document and serve as a resource to parents, students, and school personnel for questions and concerns regarding the student code. Approximately 160,000 Code of Student Conduct booklets are distributed annually.
Administrative Code of Conduct – This guide is distributed to all school-based personnel who are responsible for reporting, interpreting, and entering disciplinary data. The annual revision process coincides with the Code of Student Conduct.
