Because the PCSBtv signal is carried by cable TV systems to the general public, copyrighted materials need permission or licensing in order to legally use them in a broadcast. If someone else made it, you will need permission to use it.
The use of copyrighted materials on PCSBtv is prohibited without written permission to broadcast from the copyright
holder(s).
Examples of materials that will need to be "cleared for broadcast" can include:
- Music
- Use of a recording
- Making your own recording of other's music
- Film Clips
- These may include music, dance routines, actors or celebrities
- Photos
- From the Internet, newspapers, magazines
- Graphics
- Logos
- Trademarks
- Artwork
- Performances and Plays
- Several types of permissions may be needed
