Polk County Public Schools, Community
There are currently 30 community centers in Polk County that are affiliated with the Polk County School Board. Of these 30 community centers, 16 are actively training and offering computer services for students or adults or both.
The largest number of logins for one site is the Ray Lewis Simpson Park Center with 383 logins, and Eloise Resource Center was second with 222 logins. Girls Inc. Jenkins Building has the largest number of student participants. They reported having an average of 200 students who use their computers. Coleman-Bush has the largest number of adult participants. They reported having an average of 75 adults who use their computers.
In order for the community centers to offer computer services, computers must be donated by schools. There is a process in place for donating recycled PCSB computers.
