BlackBoard
We now have our own community on the Polk County BlackBoard site. Log in with your network username and password and search for the community "Polk Instructional Television." Here are some of the resources we are planning on incorporating:
- Training - All of our quick reference guides will be available in easy download and read PDF formats. Other information such as Tech Profeciency and Michael Robertson training opportunities will also be available.
- Tip of the Week - Blackboard will mark the return of our popular Tip of the Week section which showcase tips like FCP, filmmaking, a Macintosh tricks.
- Video Awards - All of the important information and documention will be available.
- Videos and Podcasts - A vast archive of the winning schools' videos will be kept from past Video Awards, as well as our software training video tutorials and the videos the ITV department produce for the Information Systems and Technology department of the Polk County Schools.
- Curriculum - Our Best Practices, K-12 TV Production Curriculum items, and the Captain Video Handbook will be available.
iTunes
We have also started to post our Videos and Podcasts on the iTunes store. Now friends and relatives from all over the world will be able to see our county's students' great work at anytime. There are 2 simple ways to access the Vodcast (Video Podcast):
Searching the iTunes Store
- Open iTunes and click Store on the left.
- In the search area in the upper-right, type: Polk Instructional Television
- iTunes will list the closest matches for your search.
- Click the blue image that says "ITV Video Podcasts." You will be able to download all or even individual videos from all of our past Video Awards or watch our software training videos.
